On my second day in Hong Kong, I skipped the Victoria Peak to hike the famous Lion Rock located in Sha Tin District and saw the stunning view of the city from above. Lion Rock Peak stands 495 meters above sea level, with its trail just about an hour away from Tsim Sha Tsui, making it a perfect hike for anyone looking for a quick adventure!
The easiest way to get to the jump off from Tsim Sha Tsui is to ride the MTR and take a bus to Fat Jong Temple in Sha Tin Pass Road, Tsz Wan Shan.

Once you reach Fat Jong Temple, get ready for a short 20-minute hike toward the Lion Rock Country Park entrance.

Keep walking if you’d like to take a quick break or grab a snack at the store near the jump-off point before starting the trail. There’s also a public restroom located in front of the store.

I completed the trail in about three hours, starting from the Lion Rock Country Park entrance and finishing at the exit near the Lion Rock Park Community Garden.
